Sweet Potatoes

LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT. She couldn't get enough. I couldn't even get a good picture of her making a bad face. The sweet tooth is definitely there.

6 Months

How the time has flown this fast, I have no idea. I truly feel like we blinked and our precious little baby was 6 month old. I have distinct memories of sitting in the hospital the night before she arrived, then being so proud the first time she ate 3 ounces and when she made her first sweet coo. Now, she is turning into a little kid with a fun and bubbly personality. We have honestly loved every stage of this journey. I'm sure I will be saying this exact same stuff when her 1st birthday approaches, but it goes SO FAST!

Officially On the Market!!

Our house is officially on the market... AGAIN! This time we don't have a crazy real estate agent and we are motivated to get out!! We like our agent and we have de-cluttered and spruced up the house a bit to entice some foolish 1st time home buyer!! Bring on the buyers!!

We have had fun on Brantford, but after 5 1/2 years... we are done!

Top 10 things the new house will have (... dreaming anyways)...

10. 2 refrigerators. Luke has about 1/2 of our fridge full of juice, Powerade and Diet Sunkist. We need a fridge dedicated to liquids.
9. Play room / any room to put Charlotte Anne's toys and stuff that isn't our main living room. Baby stuff is big and very very plastic.
8. A normal desk. Working off a 4' decorative desk doesn't cut it. Our computer and my lap top won't fit on it at the same time.
7. More lighting. I'm definitely not going to be in charge of that on the next go around.
6. Closet Door. No girl should have to show her closet to the world. Sometimes I don't even want to look in there.
5. Back porch with fan. My parents spoiled me with their porch.
4. An irrigation system. Moving little sprinklers around in 130 degree heat is kinda pointless.
3. A king bed. Luke might never give in, but I really really want one.
2. A garage that doesn't second as Luke's man cave
1. And Luke's only response... "A man cave where I can put my deer head and shoot my bow"... what has Memphis done to my husband?

Happy 90th!

Luke's sweet grandmother turned 90 years old!! She has been such a calm and sweet spirited person to get to know over the past 10 years!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Last Tri of the Year

Luke getting ready to enter the water!

After a successful triathlon season, we are finished! I don't have any idea how he finds time and motivation to practice after working 10-12 hour days... but he does... and it pays off. Luke had one of the best swims of his life, finally staying on the inside of the pack. In the past, he has been known to swim about 50 yards out of the way. He claims it is to avoid people, but I don't buy it. After a great swim and 1st transition, he had a good bike and run. It was a hot day, so Charlotte Anne and I took a nap in the car. Luke had to yell at us to get his attention so we wouldn't miss him again! :) GO TEAM NEWELL!

It was fun traveling to small towns all around Memphis... but we are excited that it is over. Time to get started running and running... preparing for Cruce de los Andes!!

Daddy's biggest fan!

Squash

Our 3rd food to try was squash and it was a semi-hit! Unlike the carrots and peas, it was really hard for me to get the squash as purified. Charlotte Anne seemed to really like the taste, but the consistency was a little hard for her. However, after a few days, she was loving it!!!
